CAPE Systems offers voice-driven order picking and warehouse
processes that operate with our WMS or Order Fulfillment System. The voice logistics
system offers a high level of accuracy while boosting productivity.
Workers
interact with voice system using a wearable computer and headset. They hear human
voice prompts that direct their work through easy-to-follow instructions, and
they speak their responses as tasks progress to completion. Both hands are free
to perform the work specified.
The voice picking system is typically
used in environments where pick-to-light technology is not applicable such as
areas with large numbers of products that move at moderate rates. For improvements
in overall distribution center operations, the voice-driven system also can be
implemented throughout the warehouse to allow workers to accomplish common tasks
such as receiving, putaway, and pallet moving. This maximizes their productivity
while increasing accuracy. To enhance management capabilities, the system provides
real time visibility into the warehouse processes as they happen.
The
voice logistics system can be used independently or in concert with the WMS and
any of the light-directed picking systems. |
