CAPE Systems can design the overall layout of your distribution center. We look
at your facility to consider inbound traffic, outbound traffic, receiving and
storage areas, forward pick areas, outbound staging, and other areas in terms
of the throughput required. - Does your facility have sufficient truck
bays? Is there sufficient space available for outbound sortation?
- What
type of sortation and/or diverter system will speed delivery of products?
- What
are your fastest moving products, your slowest movers, and do you need a forward
pick area to streamline operations?
- Will a mezzanine add the capacity
you need without creating a goods replenishment issue?
We consider the
types of aisles and the types of racking to be used as well as the types of vehicles
to be used. We look to minimize the square footage required for your facility
